Posted: 9 April 2018 10:31 am

That's a clean $400 off flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver.

What would you do with an extra $400 to spend on your next trip to the States or Canada? Clothes? Food? Experiences?

The sky is pretty much the limit with Air New Zealand taking a massive $400 off select return flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver.

It doesn't matter which city you're flying out from, the savings are there for the taking.

You have to travel between 1 May and 22 June or 13 July and 14 September, returning anytime between 1 May and 20 September 2018. Encompassing the peak summer dates of July and October as well as a few cooler and less crowded months (May and September), these are some of the best dates in which to travel to the States.

To score this deal, simply grab the coupon code off our page and input it into the coupon code field when you search for your flights. Then, search for flights marked "deal" which are the reduced fare prices.

This promotion is available until 23 April unless seats sell out prior.

To book: Visit Air New Zealand's cheap flights to North America and start your North American adventure today.

How good are these fares?

As these are peak dates, you shouldn't expect fares to drop to rock-bottom prices, even with $400 off. We tested a few dates and found some of the cheapest Sydney to Los Angeles flights on sale for $1,312.65 return. These are during August which is the North American summer break and can often see fares of $2,000+.

With that in mind, you're looking at cheap flights to hot destinations.

However, if you're seeking the ultimate in budget flights, you're probably going to want to look elsewhere in the calendar, such as the colder months of November or February when flights drop below $1,000 return.

Also, did we mention you can add on a second bag with Air New Zealand for just $1? Shopping? Did someone say shopping?
