How good are these fares?
As these are peak dates, you shouldn't expect fares to drop to rock-bottom prices, even with $400 off. We tested a few dates and found some of the cheapest Sydney to Los Angeles flights on sale for $1,312.65 return. These are during August which is the North American summer break and can often see fares of $2,000+.
With that in mind, you're looking at cheap flights to hot destinations.
However, if you're seeking the ultimate in budget flights, you're probably going to want to look elsewhere in the calendar, such as the colder months of November or February when flights drop below $1,000 return.
