Beauty product of the week: Sand and Sky Pink Clay Mask
If you buy one mask then let it be this one and your skin will thank you!
Why we love this product
Face masks are easily my favourite skin care product. Without a doubt, I hoard these bad boys in order to get my skin feeling fresh. So after I kept seeing this particular mask pop up all over my Instagram feed and Facebook, I just had to try it. Some of the reviews and images coming off the back of this were completely insane.
The Sand and Sky Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask is supposed to draw out toxins, pollutants and impurities to refine the pores and deep clean skin. It talks a big game and did it live up to the hype? Short answer? Yes. Longer answer? Hell yes!
When I first saw this mask I'll admit I was a bit intimidated. It looked really heavy and thick and that made me a bit nervous. However, after I started the application process, it didn't feel anywhere near as heavy as it looks and was fairly easy to spread around my face using the mini paddle brush provided. My first thought was how smooth and cooling the mask was. It's incredibly easy to work with and definitely felt good.
The mask took around 10 minutes to dry, though I left it a few more minutes for good measure! The mask dries fairly light and does start to crack which, to me, isn't a huge issue.
I'll admit I wasn't too excited to wash it off because washing off masks is practically the bane of my existence. It looks like the sink and I got into a do or die battle and normally I end up losing. BUT (there is a but), this mask was super easy to wash off. I thought from the thicker consistency of the clay it would have been more difficult. As soon as my face met the water, it glided off so easily.
I immediately felt like my skin had changed and was looking better than ever. I definitely felt as though all the gunk in my face had been pulled out and that all the dead skin had been washed off.
This mask retails for $69.95. Whilst that may seem a little more expensive than you're used to, believe me when I say that with this mask, a little bit goes a very long way. Plus, the ingredients in this mask are incredibly high quality and of course, Australian, so you can't argue with that.
Where you can buy it
To purchase this mask you can get your hands on it from our favourites Black Swallow Boutique. They not only stock Sand and Sky but also stock Jeffree Star and a range of other items. Plus, they offer AfterPay and Zippay as if you needed any more convincing.
