Telstra's S23 deal: Up to $500 top-up trade-in credit

Telstra is offering up to $500 top-up credit across the Samsung range:

  • Trade up to the S23 Ultra for $500 trade-in top-up credit
  • Trade up to the S23 Plus for $400 trade-in top-up credit
  • Trade up to the S23 for $300 trade-in top-up credit

This is on top of any credit you'd already be eligible for when trading in your old phone.

For example, when you trade in the Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB for the S23 Ultra, you could get $1,200 credit (including the bonus).

Offer ends 20 March 2023.

How much will an S23 plan from Telstra cost me?

If we pair your phone with Telstra's cheapest plan ($58 a month for 40GB for 36 months), it will cost you as little as $95.47 per month for the entry-level S23 128GB or $112.13 per month for the S23 Ultra 256GB model.

Optus's S23 deal: Free Galaxy Watch5 (worth $649)

Optus offered discounts during the pre-order period but has now switched to offering a free smartwatch.

When you sign up for a new Samsung Galaxy S23 phone on one of Optus's Choice Plus plans, you can get either one of these:

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch5 40mm variant (worth $599)
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch5 44mm variant (worth $649)

You will need to pay the $10 a month watch plan and be connected to either a 24- or 36-month plan.

Keep in mind: If you cancel before the plan is up, you'll need to pay out the cost of your handset and your watch.

How much will an S23 plan from Optus cost me?

Pairing your new Samsung phone with Optus's cheapest mobile plan ($49 a month for 30GB for 36 months) will set you back $86.46 per month for the S23 128GB or $103.12 per month for the S23 Ultra 256GB model.

Vodafone S23 deal: $500 bonus trade-in credit

Like Telstra, Vodafone has gone the route of offering trade-in credit for its S23 deals.

However, unlike its competitor, it's offering $500 credit no matter which phone you trade up to. How good?

This is of course on top of any other trade-in credit your receive for an eligible device.

if you were to trade in a Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB for a new phone, you could get up to $875 credit for a total of $1,375 trade-in credit including the bonus.

How much will an S23 plan from Vodafone cost me?

Getting your new phone on Vodafone's Small mobile plan ($45 a month for 40GB for 36 months) starts at $82.47 per month for the S23 128GB or $99.13 per month for the S23 Ultra 256GB model.

Woolworths Mobile S23 deal: Save up to $150

Woolworths Mobile is slashing just $150 off any of the S23 models.

The discount is applied across the total period of your plan which works out to be around $4.17 a month on a 36-month plan.

How much will an S23 plan from Woolies cost me?

Woolies' plans are the cheapest even before any discount is applied.

Pairing your phone with its $25 plan will cost you as little as $60.83 per month for the S23 128GB and $78.83 per month for the S23 Ultra 256GB model.

Plus, you can get 10% off 1 grocery shop each month (up to $50). Good news for those looking to stave off the cost of living.

How do I decide what the best S23 deal is?

It all comes down to which features matter most to you.

If you want the maximum savings possible then Woolworths Mobile is the way to go.

If you're not too fussed about price and want to get your hands on an extra piece of tech then Optus's offer might be most tempting.

Care most about network? Telstra's plans might be more expensive but it more than makes up for it with the largest mobile network in Australia.
