Samsung Gear Fit2 is available right now in Australia
Samsung only announced the Gear Fit2 six days ago, and it’s already on sale in Australia.
The Gear Fit2 is Samsung’s successor to the Gear Fit, and like its predecessor it’s a curved screen fitness wearable that straddles the line between a straight fitness tracker and a smartwatch, thanks to the inclusion of a 1.5 inch AMOLED display. It also incorporates inbuilt GPS and waterproofing features.
In the US, the Gear Fit2 launched at US$179, but here in Australia the device has just gone on sale for $289. That’s a very marginal uptick from converting from the US price, bearing in mind that US list prices never include sales taxes, whereas Australian pricing must take GST into account.
Like the previous Gear Fit, the primary market for the Gear Fit2 is owners of existing Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge or Galaxy S6.
You can purchase the Gear Fit2 direct from Samsung.
