Samsung Galaxy S9 vs Apple iPhone X: Head to head

At a specifications level, the Galaxy S9 would seem to outpace the iPhone X in most respects, but that's not always the complete story. Apple's control of every aspect of both its hardware and software often means it can eke out better performance from seemingly lower-specification parts than its competitors.
