Sale: Fly to Sydney for Vivid from $115 on Virgin
See Sydney's most iconic sights bathed in colourful lights.
Established in 2009, Sydney's annual festival and celebration of light, Vivid Sydney, has quickly become a city-wide institution and a unmissable event on many Australian travellers' winter calendars.
In 2016, a record 2.3 million attendees travelled into the city to marvel at the colourful displays that were projected on iconic sights and to interact with the immense light installations.
This year Vivid is expected to be bigger and better. Running from 26 May to 17 June, visitors have a whopping 23-day window to travel to Sydney and enjoy the show. To help you get there for less, Virgin Australia has just released discounted fares to Sydney for flights between 27 May and 28 June.
Flights depart from major cities including Melbourne, Adelaide, Cairns, Perth and Hobart, with prices from $115 one-way between Brisbane and Sydney. Other fares include $125 one-way flights from Adelaide, Hobart, Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) and Melbourne and $155 one-way flights for departures from Cairns.
Travel dates vary slightly between departure locations and seats must be booked online to be eligible.
Virgin Australia's Vivid Sydney sale ends midnight on 12 March 2017 unless sold out prior.
