Icelandair: Reykjavik-Dublin

When does it launch? May 2018
How often does it fly? Six times weekly
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct
Who else competes on this route? WOW Air
Anything else I need to know? Reykjavik is the capital and largest city of Iceland. It is also the world's northernmost capital of a sovereign state.


Vueling: A Coruña-Palma

When does it launch? March 2018
How often does it fly? Twice weekly
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct

Anything else I need to know? Palma is the capital of the Balearic Islands in Spain.


Eurowings: Berlin-Brussels

When does it launch? October 2017
How often does it fly? Twice daily
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct
Who else competes on this route? Ryanair and Brussels Airlines
Anything else I need to know? The airline has removed its planned twice-weekly December flights between Berlin Tegel Airport and Birmingham.


EVA AIR: Taipei-Vienna

When does it launch? March 2018
How often does it fly? Three times weekly
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct
Who else competes on this route? China Airlines
Anything else I need to know? EVA Air is a Skytrax-ranked 5-star airline and the second largest in Taiwan. The carrier serves over 40 international destinations.


Philippines AirAsia: Manila-Ho Chi Minh City

When does it launch? November 2017
How often does it fly? Three times weekly
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct
Who else competes on this route? Cebu Pacific and Philippines Airlines
Anything else I need to know? Airbus A320 aircraft will operate this route during overnight hours.


Emirates: Dubai-Stockholm

When does it launch? December 2017
How often does it fly? Daily (Introducing three additional weekly flights)
Where is the stopover? Non-stop, direct
Who else competes on this route? Norwegian
Anything else I need to know? The early morning arrival time of the new Emirates flights allow travellers from Sweden the whole day to kickstart a holiday or plan a short break in Dubai.


Vietnam Airlines expands Garuda partnership

Vietnam Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have extended their codeshare agreement to include additional routes displaying the flight code for Vietnam Airlines (VN). From this week, Garuda Indonesia-operated services from Jakarta to Denpasar and Surabaya and from Singapore to Denpasar and Jakarta will carry the flight code for Vietnam Airlines.

Ethiopian Airlines and Azul sign codeshare agreement

From October, Ethiopian Airlines and Azul Brazilian Airlines commenced a codesharing partnership.

As part of expanding travel options to Brazil, Ethiopian Airlines will add its code (ET) to Azul-operated services from Curitiba to Foz do Iguacu and Londrina, Salvador da Bahia to Belo Horizonte and between Sao Paulo Guarulhos and Belo Horizonte, Campo Grande, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Florianopolis, Goiania, Porto Alegre and Rio.
