Who else competes on this route? Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.
Anything else I need to know? Denpasar is the capital of Bali and serves as the gateway to the island.


Peach: Osaka-Niigata

Who else competes on this route? ANA, Ibex Airlines and Japan Airlines.
Anything else I need to know? Peach will be the first low-cost carrier serving Niigata.

Hainan Airlines: Shenzhen-Luang Prabang

Anything else I need to know? Hainan Airlines is the largest civilian-run air transport company in China.


Hainan Airlines: Shenzhen-Vientiane

When does it launch? October 2017
How often does it fly? Twice weekly
Where is the stopover? Nonstop, direct
Who else competes on this route? No competitors operate direct flights on this route.
Anything else I need to know? Vientiane, on the Mekong River, is the capital and largest city of Laos.


Air China suspends Pyongyang service

Air China will extend its suspension of flights to Pyongyang, North Korea from mid-November into 2018.

As part of the airline's recent schedule update, Air China updated its planned two-week suspension, which was scheduled to run from 14 November to 30 November, into next year. This includes its summer schedule of services, which were meant to start on 25 March 2018.

The airline may file a planned resumption date when it updates its summer 2018 schedule in late-December.

Etihad culls Dallas service in 2018

Etihad Airways has closed reservations for its Abu Dhabi-Dallas/Fort Worth route for travel from March 2018.

Etihad launched its Dallas service back in December 2014. The airline will cease services from 25 March 2018.

The Middle East to America route is currently served by Boeing 777-200LR aircraft on a daily basis.

The closure means the airline's Boeing 777-200LR operations in summer 2018 will further downsize to one daily Abu Dhabi-Mumbai service, one weekly Abu Dhabi-Delhi service and two weekly Abu Dhabi-Lahore services.

United Airlines operates final Boeing 747 service

United Airlines will fly its final Boeing 747 passenger service on a special San Francisco to Honolulu flight.

The Star Alliance member airline's nostalgic service will operate the same route as the inaugural Boeing 747 flight that took place on 23 July 1970.

United employees will dress up for the occasion in retro attire and a water cannon from the fire department will commemorate the send-off. There will also be a party taking place on board with a 1970s theme.
