The first Rex Airlines flights returned to the skies on Monday and Rex is back doing what it does best: Shaking things up.
As it restarted its domestic network (having paused in July due to COVID-19 impacts), Rex announced new Brisbane to Melbourne flights from $79 one way with no blackout dates.
Today it announced it will also start flying from Sydney to Brisbane from $69 one way.
Like other fares announced so far as part of its "Reconnect sale", there are no Christmas holiday blackout dates on the new Brisbane routes.

- Melbourne to Canberra from $69 one way
- Sydney to Melbourne from $69 one way
Travel dates are between 15 November 2021 to 30 April 2022. Don't forget! That's with no Christmas blackout dates on any of the routes on sale.

How good are these Rex sale fares?
Rex has now completed the "Golden Triangle" (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) which should make things interesting as domestic travel continues to ramp up. Virgin Australia has already made the move to match the prices.
Comparing Sydney to Brisbane fares for December on KAYAK, we found Virgin Australia flights for $61. While you might save $8 and earn some Velocity Points, Rex flights are full-service so you get more value for your money.
