Revv is a blockchain motorsport-focused gaming platform that has been devised to help users gain access to a wide range of ‘play-to-earn’ opportunities. The token has been developed by Animoca Brands that are looking to become a leader in blockchain-based gaming. According to the lightpaper, the platform allows users to participate in a number of licensed racing titles from mainstream entities operating within this space. Current gaming titles include Formula 1®, MotoGP™, and Formula E.
The REVV token was developed on the Ethereum blockchain using the ERC-20 standard. It was designed as the main utility token to be used within all motorsport games produced by Animoca Brands. It can be used for a number of transactions including game purchases and token transfers that take place within the ecosystem. The total supply of tokens is capped at 3 billion. 1.3 billion are held in reserve by Animoca Brands while the remainder has been divided between initial DEX offerings, the team of advisors, and the individual motorsport games.
