Return flights to Hawaii just dropped to $322 in Jetstar’s sale of the (financial) year

Man on paddleboard on tropical island.

No, you're not seeing things – this island break really is that cheap.

Jetstar is killing it right now with its mid-year sale. On top of $37 domestic flights are international breaks as cheap as $119 each way.

The one to watch? Hawaii flights. On the Jetstar site they're going for $189 each way but catch them on Flight Centre and you can take that down to $161 each way – or $322 return if you really do need to return to reality afterwards.

Flights from Melbourne start at $322 return and flights from Sydney start from $326 return. These are non-stop flights because it's important to get to those beaches asap.

You can fly for these prices between 17 July - 23 September 2019, 19 October - 5 December 2019 and 4 February - 25 March 2020.

Book your seat through Flight Centre here before 10 June 2019.

How good are these Jetstar EOFY sale fares?

  • Price: Great. This is (almost) as cheap as flights to Hawaii get. The last notable time they dropped further was for Jetstar's birthday where return fares were at $296 return. However, these were for more restricted travel dates.
  • Airline: Good. Jetstar is a low-cost carrier, hence the price-tag. This means only your seat and carry-on luggage are included in your fare. If you're flying to Hawaii to go shopping, you may have to shell out some extra cash for checked luggage. The same goes if you want to be fed on the plane.
  • Travel time: Great. Flights from Sydney and Melbourne are non-stop. If you're flying in from elsewhere, you'll need to transit in these cities.
  • Weather: Great. Hawaii is good to visit all year round but if we had to choose a few months, April to October offers the sunniest days.
