And they say you never get anything for free. Well, Quickflix is giving you your first month’s subscription for $0.
Sounds pretty good, dontcha think?
It’s all part of that super-amazing thing called a trial period, which lets you give the service a good run for a select period of time. Most Internet TV service providers choose the 30-day mark as a good trial period, and Quickflix is much the same.
So if you’re ready for a month’s worth of free movies and entertainment, sign up to the deal below. Oh, and yes. Despicable Me IS available on Quickflix.
Want all the TV shows and movies? You can get a free trial with each of the streaming internet tv providers below:
What is Quickflix?
One of the more seasoned entertainment providers in Australia, Quickflix has been around since 2003 and provides entertainment in two forms.
The first is as a DVD and Blu-ray mail subscription service. Here you get to choose the titles you’d like to view, which are then posted to you in the mail to view at your leisure. You then post them back to have new titles sent your way. There’s a limit as to how many you can hold at any one time depending on your subscription (options available for up to three discs at one time), but postage is free so once you’re done with one, you can send it back and watch the others while a new disc is arranged to come your way.
The second is what you’re more familiar with these days: a streaming service. This is where you can stream movies using an Internet connection to view on a number of devices at your home. So there’s no waiting for that disc to arrive, it’s just instant access - well, instant so long as your Internet connection is up to scratch.
Quickflix currently offers both their mailing and streaming services separately. Their mailing service starts at $12.99 (one-disc at one-time) per month while their streaming service starts at $9.99 per month. Only Premium movies and series are not available with your Internet TV subscription and are charged on-demand at $2.99 per episode for TV series and $5.99 for movies. These will be available to stream for 7 days, or 48 hours from the moment you hit ‘play’.
Like many other Internet TV streaming services, Quickflix doesn’t have any lock-in contracts and charges monthly, so you can cancel at any time and only be charged for the current month’s access.
What do I need to access Quickflix?
Using the traditionally mail service, you’ll need a postal address and a home entertainment system. Using the more updated streaming service, you’ll need:
- A compatible device to stream your entertainment on. This includes: PS3s, Sony BRAVIA, Samsung Smart, Panasonic Smart and LG Smart TVs, MACs, PCs, iPhones and smartphones, Google Chromecast, tablets, and more. A comprehensive list of compatible devices can be found here.
- An Internet connection (with enough data to download your entertainment and a connection speed of at least 3Mbps)
What’s included in my Quickflix free trial?
Everything a normal monthly subscription would include. That’s access to their vast library of TV and movie titles however does not include access to their premium catalogue. To access these titles, you will need to purchase them on-demand at the prices quoted above.
As an aside, at the time of writing (June 2015), when you sign up for your free one-month trial, you’ll also receive one bonus release movie on Quickflix. You know what that means: 1) Choose wisely and 2) Get in on this offer quick before it’s given the ‘flick’.
How do I get my Quickflix free trial?
Simply click on the deal above to be securely redirected to the Quickflix registration page. Then, complete your details to start your trial.
You’ll be prompted to create a unique pin to access your account as well as include your payment details during the subscription process, which will be used to verify your payment method should you wish to continue your subscription following the trial period. You will not be charged for your first month. However, you will be charged automatically for the following month’s subscription if you don’t cancel your trial in time. So if you find that Quickflix isn’t the one for you, make sure you unsubscribe before within the 30 days to avoid any unexpected fees.
