Queensland and Brisbane RAT rules

The current advice from Queensland Health is to get tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

If you test positive on a RAT, you must report your positive test using this form. It is strongly recommended that you stay home until you no longer have acute symptoms.

Queensland and Brisbane free RATs

Certain Queensland residents are eligible for free RATs. To qualify for this scheme, you must hold 1 of the following concession cards:

  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
  • Health Care Card
  • Low Income Health Care Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold, White or Orange card.

As a part of this scheme, eligible Queenslanders can collect a maximum of 5 tests in 1 month from participating community pharmacies.
