Queensland State of Origin Game 2 team adds extra experience
The death of the dynasty may not have lasted long, with the Queensland State of Origin team announcement for Game 2 light on changes and big on experience.
Queensland played a great game at Suncorp, starting the 2019 State of Origin series just how coach Kevin Walters would have liked. After a slow start, Queensland began to poke holes through the NSW line almost at will. If it wasn't for a host of bombed tries and some desperate NSW defence, it could have easily ended with Queensland 20 ahead at full time.
In announcing the Queensland State of Origin team, Kevin Walters has turned to the troops that have been there for him before. Jai Arrow and Joe Ofahengaue were already ruled out with injury, and their boots have been filled by experienced campaigners Tim Glasby and Jarrod Wallace. No rookies, and a squad of players that are used to tasting State of Origin success.
Elsewhere the team is unchanged, ensuring that the Blues will need to be a heck of a lot better in Game 2 to level the series if they are going to turn the tide on this Queensland State of Origin team. It's safe and assured selections and Queensland will easily go in as the favourites on June 23 in Perth.
