Cons

  • Destinations: While destinations are constantly being added to the Qatar network, being based in the Middle East means flights go from the Middle East, which is most beneficial when heading to and from Europe.
  • Difficult to contact: Qatar Airways does not have online chat or a dedicated call centre.

What's the Qatar Airways baggage allowance?

Economy passengers are allowed 30kg of checked luggage on all flights departing Australia. If you're connecting through Doha to Brazil, Argentina, Canada or America, your bag cannot be heavier than 23kg, or 45kg if going to Morocco or Africa.

Business class passengers are allowed 40kg departing Australia and first class passengers are allowed 50kg. Similar rules to economy passengers apply for connecting flights. Travellers bound for Brazil, Argentina, Canada or America cannot have any bag weighting more than 32kg.

How does Qatar check-in work?

If you'd like to check in for your flight online, simply go to the Qatar homepage and click the "Check-In Online" tab. Enter your booking details and follow the prompts to complete your check-in.

Alternatively, you can check in at the designated gate at your departure airport.
