Qantas Staff Credit Union Rewarder Credit Card

Information verified correct on December 11th, 2016

A new type of rewards card is now being offered by Qantas Staff Credit Union. It is called the Rewarder Credit Card.

It is different from other rewards cards because, finally, you are the one that is in charge. You no longer have to spend your hard-earned rewards points on items that are of no use to you or that you do not want.

What Is The Rewarder Credit Card?

The Qantas Staff Credit Union saw a need for a new kind of card. They realised that many customers were unhappy with their existing cards because when it came time to redeem their rewards points, they found there was nothing in the rewards catalogue that was particularly inspiring. Toasters and cheap wine were not really deemed as "rewards"￾ for many customers.

So, the new "Rewarder Credit Card"￾ came into being. The rewarder credit card is a new card that the Qantas Staff Credit Union has provided to all members of the credit union. This card is different because you are more in control of how you are rewarded. And each time you use your card you will accumulate points. A rewards program is truly a rewards program if you are able to choose how you want to reward yourself.

How Does The Card Work?

Each time you spend your card you earn points. The card is provided by partner financial institutions and each time you use your card your points are changed into a dollar amount and then credited to your account weekly.

You can check to see how many points you have accumulated and the corresponding dollar value and when you have earned enough then you are able to buy what you want with those earned dollars. It is really that easy.

For example, if you have a favourite restaurant that you like to go to and you want to use your points, just make sure they have EFTPOS and you will be able to use your points. Or, let's say you want to be more practical and use your points on something like petrol or groceries. You can do that, too!

Use your rewards points at the petrol station or grocery store and spend your points on what YOU want and not on what others THINK you want.

What Else Does The Card Offer?

The Rewarder Card is unlike any other rewards card you have seen previously and there are many benefits to this great new card. Here are a few of its major features.

  • Earn points each time you use the card (QSCU Lifestyle and Lifestyle Plus Credit Card)
  • You will earn 1 point for each dollar that you spend on eligible purchases
  • Each point earns $0.005 when converted into rewards dollars
  • The annual fee is only $55
  • You have immediate access to your rewards points anywhere in Australia where there is EFTPOS

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I want to start using my points right away. Can I do that?

Yes! The Rewarder card is ready and available for your use as soon as you have received it. So, you can start using it as soon as there are enough point rewards on there to purchase something. It's so easy!

2. How does the credit card convert into the Rewarder dollars?

Each time you use your credit card there is a dollar value that is attached to the money that has spent. You do not have to carry or swipe an additional card. The lender does this automatically for you and then you are free to spend that money on whatever you want.

3. I have already started using my card and I want to check on how many points I have earned. How do I do that?

All you have to do is login to the Rewarder car website and enter in the details for your card and there you will be able to see how many points you have accumulated so far. If you prefer, you can call your lender and speak to a representative that will be able to give you the same information. You are also able to go directly into a local branch where they will be able to assist you.

4. I want to start spending my Rewarder Dollars. How can I do that?

This is extremely simple. ANY retailer or merchant in all of Australia that has an EFTPOS terminal will be able to accept your card and allow you to redeem the points on your card. Just check for the EFTPOS terminal and then you are off! Check the website regularly to see what you have available for points.

5. Are the points equal to cash?

The answer to this is, essentially, yes. The only difference is that you are not able to withdraw the funds from your card from any ATM or EFTPOS machine.

6. I have forgotten my PIN. PLEASE HELP!

In order to retrieve your PIN, you will need to call your lender during their business hours and they will be able to help you. If it is past business hours then you can e-mail them your request.

To avoid this problem, you can change the PIN that you automatically receive from your lender over to something that will be easy for you to remember but difficult for others to determine.

7. How can I change my PIN?

All you need to do is log onto the website and you have access to change your PIN code at any time.

You no longer have to put up with cheap wine and bad appliances with this excellent new credit card. The Rewarder card is the answer to the rewards card.
