How good are these Qantas sale fares?

This Qantas sale has so much going for it. Price-wise, its fares are cheaper than one of its previous Fly Away sales which had Singapore flights starting at $519 and Bangkok flights at $869 return.

The travel dates are so wide-reaching that you can book almost a year in advance. Sure, blackout periods apply but they do include a couple of peak dates such as the October long weekend and the end of the school holidays in mid-January.

Qantas' Asia Fly Away sale runs until 13 May 2022 unless sold out earlier.

These fares at a glance

  • Great flexibility: Qantas' Fly Flexible policy lets you change your flight, fee-free on international flights taken by 31 December.
  • Great airline: Qantas is Australia's flagship carrier. It's also full-service with checked luggage, meals and seat selection all included in your fare.
  • Good frequent flyer points: All flights in this sale earn Qantas frequent flyer points and status credits. On the cheapest leg (Perth to Singapore) you can expect to get 2,205 points and 25 status credits.
  • Great travel time: These flights are non-stop.
  • Good weather: Ideally, you'll want to visit Asia during the dry season. Pick July-August dates to visit Singapore to cash in on the end of the dry season or December-February to visit Bangkok to avoid high humidity and rainfall.
