How good are these Qantas sale fares?

It's not every week that Qantas drops seats down to $99 a pop. We last saw Qantas flights on sale at this price at the start of August.

To put things in perspective, a typical Red e-Deal (Qantas's term for its standard discount deals) on the Sydney to Ballina Byron route starts from $160 one way.

Today's sale will save you nearly 40%, how good? That's more money to spend wining and dining on your holiday.

If you're looking for even cheaper fares, we've seen Jetstar fares from $50 one way in January (as compared on Skyscanner).

This Qantas sale is available until 11:59pm AEST 17 September 2021, unless sold out prior.

These fares at a glance

  • Great flexibility: Travellers are entitled to unlimited, free date changes until 28 February 2022.
  • Great airline: Qantas is Australia's national carrier and offers full-service fares. Checked baggage, in-flight meals and entertainment are all included when you hop aboard the flying kangaroo.
  • Good frequent flyer points: Earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points when you fly with this Qantas sale. A minimum of 800 Qantas points and 10 status credits are up for grabs.
  • Great travel time: Forget stressful transfers with direct flights.
  • Great weather: We think October to November is one of the best times to visit Sydney or, if you're looking to travel out of Sydney, we hear the weather is pretty great in Byron Bay too.
