Lock in competitive exchange rates with Qantas Cash
Qantas Cash is offering cardholders special exchange rates until Friday 29 June 2018.
If you’re planning an overseas trip, you can stretch your travel budget further when you lock in competitive exchange rates with Qantas Cash this week.
Until midnight this Friday 29 June 2018, Qantas Travel Money is offering special exchange rates to Qantas Cash cardholders who load funds directly into one of the 10 supported foreign currencies.
You can compare the special rates against the standard exchange rates below:
|Currency||Special rates||Standard rates|
|Great British pounds||0.5315||0.5298|
|Hong Kong dollar||5.5274||5.5129|
|New Zealand dollar||1.0321||1.0294|
|United States dollar||0.7107||0.7084|
If you load funds on your card over the next four days, your cash will be locked in to the special exchange rates even after 29 June. So you can take advantage of these competitive rates and avoid a fluctuating travel budget while you’re spending overseas.
These special rates are competitive when compared to the standard rates offered on the Qantas Cash card. If you’re weighing up which travel card to use on your next trip, you should compare these promotional rates with other options on the market to see which card offers you the most value.
If you’ve already loaded cash on your Qantas Cash account and into a supported currency wallet, you should note that these competitive rates don’t apply to transfers between wallets.
As well as competitive exchange rates, you’ll also earn Qantas Points when you spend with your Qantas Cash card. You’ll collect 1.5 Qantas Points per AUD$1 spent in equivalent foreign currency on eligible purchases overseas or online and 1 Qantas Point per AUD$4 spent on eligible transactions in Australia.
