Shop with your Mastercard and earn Qantas Points at David Jones, JB Hi-Fi, Dymocks and more with Qantas Card Offers.
Good news, shoppers! You can reward your next retail therapy session with frequent flyer points thanks to Qantas Card Offers. Launched in November 2017, frequent flyers can link their Mastercard debit or credit card with their Qantas Frequent Flyer account and Qantas Card Offers to earn points in-store with participating retailers.
You can use this guide to learn how Qantas Card Offers works and to start earning more Qantas Points with your favourite brands.
Earning frequent flyer points with Qantas Card Offers
When you link your Mastercard to Qantas Card Offers, you can earn Qantas Points when you shop in-store with 80+ partnered brands. These include JB Hi-Fi, Sephora, Cue, Dymocks, Country Road, David Jones, T2, Caltex, Secure Parking, West Elm and Barbeques Galore, just to name a few.
Qantas Card Offers are tailored to suit you, so you’ll receive bonus points promotions each week based on your spending habits. So, if you’ve recently shopped at a women’s fashion retailer, you may expect deals from the likes of Cue, Country Road and David Jones.
You’ll receive seven Card Offers each week, which you can browse when you log into your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and follow the Card Offers prompts.
How do I link my Mastercard to Qantas Card Offers?
When you visit the Qantas Card Offers website, you can follow the prompts to link your Mastercard to receive bonus points deals. You can link a Mastercard credit card or debit card, but how you can earn points will differ depending on the type of card you’re using:
- Credit cards. You can link any eligible Mastercard credit card to Qantas Card Offers. But if you have a Qantas Frequent Flyer Mastercard credit card, you can double dip to earn points twice when you shop with partnered retailers. This is because you’ll earn points at your card’s regular earn rate (such as 1 point per $1) on top of the Card Offers deal.
- Debit cards. It’s less common to find a debit card that earns Qantas Points, so this is an easy way to increase your points without spending on credit. But if you’re using your debit card, you’ll need to insert your card at the terminal and select “CREDIT” to earn the points. If you select cheque or savings, the transaction won’t reach the Mastercard system and you won’t earn any points.
How else can I earn Qantas Points on shopping purchases?
Outside of Qantas Card Offers, there are a few options if you want to earn frequent flyer points on other retail purchases:
Qantas Frequent Flyer credit cards
If you want to reward every $1 you spend, you can shop with a Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card. These cards reward you with Qantas Points for every dollar you spend on eligible purchases and often come with extra perks such as Qantas Lounge passes, complimentary insurance or concierge services. These cards also regularly boast thousands of bonus points on sign-up, which can help bolster your points balance.
These products usually come with high annual fees and purchase rates though, so they’re best suited to cardholders who can pay their balance in full each month and take advantage of the card benefits.
You can also visit the Qantas Shopping hub and Qantas Online Mall to earn frequent flyer points when you shop online with partnered retailers. From Woolworths, eBay and David Jones to Apple, ASOS and THE ICONIC, you can earn Qantas Points with more than 100 of Australia’s favourite brands when you shop through Qantas Shopping.
You have to go through the Qantas Shopping site, but you can expect all of the same prices and deals that you’d get if you shopped online directly through the retailer. The only difference is that you’ll earn Qantas Points per $1 you spend! The Qantas Online Mall also regularly runs bonus points deals with partnered brands, so it can be an easy way to give your points a quick boost.

Qantas Card Offers is another easy way for frequent flyers to maximise their everyday spending and reach their rewards goals sooner. So before you shop with your favourite brand, make sure to check if you can pick up any points before you hit the checkout. Happy points hunting!
