PS4 lights up

Get discounts on everything from steering wheels to PSVR mega packs.

Hold onto your wallets, PlayStation faithful, because Black Friday is upon us once more. By now you've probably eyed off a bunch of games that you want to corner, click and collect at a discount, but how is your accessories game at home? Shouldn't you upgrade that static-hissing headset of yours? How many more rage-throws can your controller endure? Don't you think it's time to see what all this fandangle virtual reality is all about?

Well, now's your chance. Your chance to do it cheap, that is. Without much further ado, let's dive into the best accessories deals that'll change your gaming life for the better:

  • If you want some sweet cans, you should look over at JB Hi-Fi. It's offering a whopping 50% on PS4 compatible HyperX Cloud Mix Wired Gaming Headset with Bluetooth. Paying $149.50 instead of $299 is a phenomenally good deal for this sort of sound quality.
  • Petrolheads need to secure what is (in our learned opinion) the best mid-range force-feedback steering wheel on the market. Harvey Norman is selling the PS3/PS4 compatible Logitech G29 Driving Force for $298. To put that into perspective, the RRP is $499.95 and on rare occasions you'll see them down around the 380 mark.
  • Already got a Logitech wheel? Well why not accentuate the experience with a Logitech Driving Force Shifter. Why? Firstly, because manual transmission is for serious racers. And secondly, The Gamesmen has this essential accessory for $49.95 (38% off RRP).
  • If you're thinking about diving into VR, why not go all in? The Official PlayStation VR Mega Pack that includes the PSVR headset, camera and five games (Resident Evil 7, Everybody's Golf VR, PlayStation Worlds, Skyrim VR and Astrobot) is wall-to-wall quality. It's also going for $304 at The Gamesmen instead of $469.95. Madness.
  • Here's a simple idea to make life easier. The two USB ports on the front of your PS4 are prime real estate and are needed for a bunch of things. Big W is offering 20% off on 5-metre "3rd Earth" Dual Charge & Play Cables. Paying $19 to be able to power 2 controllers from a single USB port is a creature comfort well worth the price.
  • Need a cheap and cheerful second (or third or fourth) controller for local multiplayer games? Well EB Games can get your party started with @play Wired Compact Controllers that are going from $36 instead of $49.95. Beats the heck out of dropping 100 bucks on an official controller that'll probably gather dust in a drawer.
  • EB Games is offering ZQRacing Hyper Sport Series Gaming Chairs (blue and black) for $488 instead of the usual $529. These are essential for two groups of people: show-ponies who want to look flash during their Twitch streams or regular folk who don't want a sore butt after an epic, 30-hour gaming session.

The above "pre-event" deals represent just a taste of Black Friday's savings. Be sure to check back with this living list to nab further bargains as we find them.
