Presto keeps growing in order to provide Australians with premium television series.
Presto was first introduced to the Australian audience in March of 2014 offering unlimited access to a wide variety of movies for $9.99 a month.
Thanks to its partnership with Foxtel, Presto gets its fair share of the latest TV shows and movies. Some highlights include The Walking Dead and Mr Robot, but Presto adds more and more content to its lineup every month.
So far, Presto has managed to hold its own against rival services, Stan and Netflix, by securing timely blockbusters and adding more content than it's competitors on a monthly basis.
Presto TV is a separate service from Presto Movies, however also costs $9.99 a month. Alternatively, you can choose a Presto Entertainment subscription to bundle both TV & Movies for $14.99 a month. Content for the Presto TV element includes programming from Foxtel, Seven Network, Showtime, HBO, ABC, eOne, Twentieth Century Fox and many other studios.
Presto is the only Australian internet TV provider to feature The Walking Dead and Aquarius. Deals with HBO mean that Presto TV is the only Australian internet TV provider where you can see shows like Boardwalk Empire and Entourage. Not available though is the highly popular Game of Thrones series. Access to Showtime will allow Australians to view shows like Dexter and Ray Donovan but these can also be found through other service providers.
To use Presto, all you need is internet, data and a compatible device. Devices include mobile, tablet, laptop, PC/Mac and TV via Google Chromecast). Presto Entertainment subscription fees apply from expiry of free trial period (see below). Full Presto T&Cs apply.
Presto 1-month trial
All new customers are eligible to receive a free 1-month trial of Presto Entertainment (TV and Movies) although you will need to supply your credit card information to access these services. There is no contractual obligation, so you are free to cancel the service after your trial whenever you want. In order not to be charged the following month's service, you must cancel it BEFORE your subscribed month is complete or you will automatically be re-subscribed and charged for another month.
You also have the option to downgrade your package during the trial too, meaning you have the option to go from TV + Movies to just TV or Movies for $9.99 a month.
If you have a coupon for Presto you can use this during check-out. Simply enter the code where prompted and the dollar amount or percentage will be deducted from your total.

Streaming video with Presto
Presto provides its users with video streaming as opposed to downloading. With the use of the Chromecast device, TV series and movies are streamed to your television in continuous play. So long as your internet speed is able to support this, you should be able to watch the entire episode or movie without interruption.
One downfall to Presto is that it does not support high definition (HD) TV yet, meaning that the quality of the picture may not be as sharp as you find with other services.

With Netflix being made available in Australia for 2015, other internet TV providers are working hard on improving their services and offering more variety to stay in competition in the market. Presto has already taken steps by lowering monthly subscriptions and adding content from providers like HBO and Showtime. With the number of internet TV choices growing in Australia, it will be up to you to research which ones are offering the programs you enjoy with the best quality, expanded features, and lowest price.
