We've compared powerline network adapters from Amazon Australia to see how their prices stack up against other Aussie retailers.
You know what they say: mo’ rooms, mo’ problems. Wired modems need to be plugged directly into a dedicated phone or Internet line, but in many households across the country, a convenient and accessible connection point can be a rare thing. If your phone or Internet line is inconveniently located just beyond the pit of lava to the left of the hungry Cerberus, fear not – there’s hope for you yet.
Hidden behind the walls, typical power cabling can be used to transfer the data needed for a wired internet connection. So if you’re trying to run an Internet-enabled device without wireless capabilities, you can forego an extra long Ethernet cable by using a simple powerline network adapter. It’s as easy as plugging one powerline adapter to the powerpoint closest to your modem and the other into the powerpoint closest to the wired device, then connecting an ethernet cable from your modem to the first powerline adapter and an Ethernet cable from the second to the wired device. Voila. No need to try and hide that hideous yellow cord.
If you’re looking for an ace deal on a powerline adapter, we’ve rounded up the best deals on some of the most popular products below.
