What’s in the Pokémon x Shu Uemura Art of Hair collection?
The collaborative collection is set to drop soon and you won't want to be a Slowpoke about getting your hands on it!
Back in September Japanese makeup label Shu Uemura gifted us a first look at a bunch of Pokémon-themed makeup products that are every bit as glam as they are cute. With the collection now set to drop in just a few weeks, the beauty brand has also debuted four new hair products and you're definitely going to want 'em all.
The exclusive limited edition collaboration is based on everyone's favourite Pokémon Pikachu. Each product comes in a shimmery, golden hue while the packaging is plastered with images of Ash's main pal.
If you're wondering why Pika looks a little different than normal, it's because the brands have reimagined the character for the line, affectionately calling this one "Pikashu". Cute.
So, what's in the line?
The first product up for grabs is the iconic Essence Absolue Nourishing Oil, which is infused with a Golden Oil Complex that gives both hair and skin an illuminating glow. The Oil will set you back US$69, but we think it's totally worth it for the electrifying sparkle it gives.
Next we have the Essence Absolue Nourishing Hair Mask, which is a brand new product made especially for the collaborative capsule. The mask is designed to get deep into your roots and give your locks some extra nourishment without weighing it down. The mask is set to retail for US$68.
A Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo meanwhile arrives in a limited-edition version that features the same paraben and silicone free formula as the original. The product uses ferments from Japanese onsens to cleanse and nourish the hair with their purifying properties. The shampoo is super lightweight and will also help restore balance to dry and itchy scalps. You can pick it up for US$57.
It wouldn't be a hair collection without a handy hair tool and this paddle brush might just be the most adorable one that we've ever seen. Working as both a de-tangler and a styling tool, this hair brush will ensure that your hair always looks shockingly great. A retail price is yet to be announced.
The limited-edition hair line is set to drop on 1 November alongside the makeup line. You'll be able to shop it first from the Shu Uemura site, though we're hoping that it will also suddenly appear in usual stockists like David Jones and Adore Beauty too.
