Grab bonus points for insurance, super, hotel stays and rewards point transfers.

Bonus frequent flyer and rewards points offers are heating up as we approach the end of 2019.

Points chasers can bag bonus points when transferring some bank and hotel rewards points and flybuys points to the Velocity program and for taking out car insurance with Qantas. Amex's Shop Small promotion is also back with cashback at participating retailers and restaurants.

Qantas Car Insurance launches with up to 20,000 bonus Qantas Points

Qantas announced its new Qantas Car Insurance product this week and is offering up to 20,000 bonus Qantas Points if you take out a new policy. The bonus points offer runs until 20 December and you must keep the policy for 60 days.

You can also earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on premiums and up to 6,000 points when you use the Qantas Wellbeing app to carry out safety checks on your car (in addition to the weekly step and sleep challenges).

15% bonus Velocity Points when transferring from other programs

Velocity Frequent Flyer is currently offering a 15% bonus when transferring points from KrisFlyer and some bank rewards and hotel rewards programs. The bonus runs until 30 November 2019 and there are minimum points transfer amounts.

Get up to $50 back on purchases made with your American Express card through Shop Small

American Express' Shop Small offer is back, allowing American Express cardholders to spend $20 at participating retailers and get $10 back. The offer can be used up to five times at different participating Shop Small retailers, cafes and eateries.

To get the offer you'll need to sign in to your American Express account and save the offer to your card before 30 November 2019. Be quick though as the offer is limited to the first 118,000 card members.

20,000 bonus Qantas Points when signing up to AustralianSuper

AustralianSuper is giving 20,000 bonus Qantas Points to those signing up for a new AustralianSuper account. The offer is available to new AustralianSuper members who contribute a minimum of $350 to the account within six months of joining the fund. The bonus points will be transferred 2 - 3 months after the $350 minimum threshold is met.

1,000 bonus Velocity Points when you book and rent a car with Europcar

If you book and rent a car for a minimum of four days before 28 February 2020 you can earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points. The offer is available at participating Europcar locations in Australia and New Zealand.

3,000 bonus IHG points on eligible Intercontinental stays in November

IHG Rewards Club is currently offering 3,000 bonus points for stays at any Intercontinental hotel or resort worldwide until 30 November 2019. To get this offer you'll need to register for the promotion on the IHG Rewards Club website.
