P&O hosts a Boxing Day sale every year and the deals are not ones to be missed. Especially when they're on everything from short, domestic trips to our island friends in Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific.
This year you can lock in a sailing with just a $1 deposit and get up to $500 in onboard credit. Well, what are you waiting for? Time to get on the water.
How do this year's P&O Boxing Day deals compare with previous years?
This year's sale is different to last years, so it's like comparing apples to oranges. For 2020, we're seeing a $1 deposit deal and an offer of up to $500 onboard credit. The longer your cruise is, and the more premium room type you book, the more credit you'll get.
The cheapest cruises we're seeing available during the 2020 sale are $349pp, but the travel dates and destinations are different which greatly affects pricing. In 2019, P&O dropped anchor with short breaks from $149pp on domestic trips. This was miles better than its 2018 sale which had holidays starting at $248pp.
Longer holidays saw the following sales hit our shores:
- 8-night holiday to Fiji for $856pp
- 8-night Christmas 2020 cruise from $899
- 11-night New Year's Eve cruise from $1,249pp
Why we're excited about P&O's Boxing Day sale
- All P&O ships offer world-class dining, entertainment and services such as babysitting, spas and yoga classes.
- P&O is one of the best cruise lines in the business. In 2019 its ship the Pacific Aria cleaned up at the Australian Cruise Critic Editor's Picks Awards Pacific winning Best Cruise Line for Shore Excursions, Best Cruise Line for Families, Best Cruise Line for Fitness and Recreation and Best Ship Refurbishment.
- You can add airport transfers to your cruise in select destinations.
