There’s no lack of Knack in February’s PlayStation Plus free games

The PS4's plucky mascot is finally going free this month.

It's finally happened. After years of clamouring and begging, Sony has given Knack his turn in the PlayStation Plus spotlight. Sure, it's taken five years and the release of a sequel no one expected, but for all the PS4 owners out there who didn't experience Knack's adventure at the console's launch, you now have a totally okay mascot platformer to play through.

Of course, as monumental as the news of Knack's long-awaited PS Plus debut is, the real gem of February's free games line-up is RiME, the excellent puzzle platformer heavily inspired by such classics as Ico and Journey. We were enthralled by the emotional adventure when we reviewed RiME last year, and its inclusion in this month's line-up makes February one of the best months of PlayStation Plus in quite some time.

Along with the two PS4 headlines, February sees the humble Vita get its tactics on with the turn-based RPG Grand Kingdom as well as the classic-style platformer Exile's End.

Check out the full PlayStation Plus line-up for February below. As usual, the games will go live for download on Tuesday 6th February, with January's line-up going offline on the same day.

  • Knack (PS4)
  • RiME (PS4)
  • Spelunker HD (PS3)
  • Mugen Souls Z (PS3)
  • Grand Kingdom (PS4/Vita)
  • Exile's End (Vita)
