Player Unknown Battlegrounds unveils new map and details

Olivia Harris 8 December 2017 NEWS

The new map details and release date have been announced.

Player Unknown Battlegrounds has had a hell of a year, one that will go down in history in the world of successful game launches. With over 20 million players PUBG is 2017's most played game with over 2 billion hours played.

This success has all been built on one gameplay mode and only one map, until now. Tonight at The Game Awards the new desert map has been announced and details unleashed, with the map's name "Miramar" being unveiled.

"We are excited beyond words that we can finally share the name of our new desert map and tell you a little bit about some of the places you can visit," says Bluehole, the developers behind PUBG.

"The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required."

All new gameplay was shown live on air and it was revealed that the map will be available TONIGHT on test servers. Stay tuned for more news and info on The Game Awards and PUBG.
