Keep your skin feeling clean and totally moisturised with the Cloud Cream cleanser.

The Water Drench collection from Peter Thomas Roth promises to "drench your skin with a liquid cloud of pure, endless moisture drawn straight from the atmosphere".

I was lucky enough to try the Water Drench Cloud Cream cleanser and it's one of my new favourite products.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? It works to totally cleanse the skin while maintaining hydration and softness.

How much is it? $50 for 120mL

Where to buy it: Sephora and Catch

Peter Thomas Roth's Cloud Cream cleanser is a non-stripping, fragrance-free formula. It's designed to help maintain the skin's moisture levels for a radiant and more youthful-looking complexion.

That's all thanks to the star ingredients.

It contains hyaluronic acid which helps to improve hydration (it can retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water!). It's also formulated with Sodium PCA, coconut oil and marshmallow root extract, and together, these ingredients work to totally nourish and soothe the skin.

The Cloud Cream cleanser is great for morning and night-time use. You only need to squeeze a pea-sized dollop onto the palm of your hand. Add some lukewarm water and rub your hands together – you'll notice that it creates a gorgeous milky cleanser that feels nice and hydrating on the skin.

While it does the job of removing makeup, excess oil and impurities, this cleanser is also wonderful at moisturising the skin. I absolutely adore the way my skin feels after using this cleanser. It doesn't strip away its natural oils but rather leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and clean, without any annoying residue.

If you're on the hunt for a new cleanser that doesn't dry your skin out, then this may be the one for you.

The product is advertised as suiting all skin types and I couldn't agree more. My skin is combination, so unfortunately, I suffer from both oily and dry skin. This cleanser worked an absolute treat and I didn't experience any bad skin reactions.

However, with any new skincare product, I always recommend doing a patch test before use, just to make sure it's right for you.

Affordability

The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream cleanser retails at $50 for 120mL. For some, this can be rather expensive.

Does it do the job? Yes. Can you find something similar for cheaper? Of course.

One thing I will say is that I really appreciate how much product you get. I have now finished the entire bottle, and it lasted me well over three months. I was washing my face twice a day, so a little product goes a long way. You're definitely getting bang for your buck!

Where to buy

If you're looking for anything from Peter Thomas Roth, head straight on over to Sephora, one of the brand's official stockists.

Keen to save a few bucks? I highly recommend checking out Catch. Alongside beauty brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills and Benefit Cosmetics, you can also find a great range of Peter Thomas Roth products.
