  • Nighttime travel. There are some train lines that are best to avoid unless you are travelling in a group. The Armadale line can be intimidating at night, and you may want to avoid traveling to Rockingham, Victoria Park and Kwinana at night too.
  • Wildlife. When driving through the suburbs, it’s normal to come across wildlife running across the road at night. Avoid swerving as it you could end up in a lane of oncoming traffic or in a ditch. Brake hard and try to avoid hitting the animal. If you do hit a marsupial, pull over and check it out. It could have a baby in it’s pouch which could be spared by wrapping it in a towel or blanket and a making trip to the nearest vet.
