Online certificates

The Certificate III and IV in Fitness are two nationally recognised personal training qualifications. While the Certificate III will allow you to be a gym instructor, you'll need a Certificate IV to become fully qualified as a personal trainer.

The first step towards becoming a professional personal trainer is by completing the Certificate III in Fitness, which takes a minimum of 13 weeks.

Afterwards, you can apply for the Certificate IV in Fitness, which takes a minimum of 26 weeks, including the obligatory work placements.
