CUA, which recently rebranded as the Great Southern Bank, is Australia’s largest consumer owned financial institution. They offer an unsecured personal loan with a choice between fixed and variable rates. They also have a secured fixed car loan. Interest rates for the fixed loan is lower than the variable loan, but the borrowing limit is capped at $50,000, while for the variable rate loan it is $60,000. The interest rate for the fixed loan is 9.39% p.a., while it is 11.89% p.a. for the variable rate. While there are no monthly ongoing fees, there is an establishment fee of $175.
