Ferratum group was launched in 2005, as part of a European microloan group and has since broadened its network to Australia. Over 200 professional assist customers to borrow emergency funds when necessary

Ferratum provides microloans as short term cash loans intended to cover unexpected bills or expenses. In Australia, these are also referred to as cash advance or payday loans and can be helpful for people experiencing financial hardship. These loans are not intended to cover a regularly recurring bill. Instead, microloans can be used to finance travel funds or as emergency cash when people need fast money in emergency situations.

Features and benefits of a Ferratum personal loan

  • You'll get online approval.
Ferratum’s online application process is easy and offers an immediate response. If you are looking to get approved online but don’t know where to go, Ferratum offers an easy process where you can find out your eligibility for a microloan instantly. The process is designed to be much easier than a regular bank, so there’s no surprising information required to fill in or lengthy waiting in line.

Ferratum doesn’t investigate your personal history or past credit before it approves or denies your loan. The company only uses your current loan situation and bank status to make an assessment.

      Hi Sandra,

Unfortunately Ferratum is an Australian lender and will only consider you for a loan if you currently reside in Australia. You may need to find a lender in South Africa to consider you for a loan or some form of financial assistance.

I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance,

      Hi Maidly-ann,

Ferratum does consider unemployed applicants for loans. You just need to show that you have the capacity to repay the loan you’re applying for. To apply, you can click “Go to Site”.

      I hope this helps,

      Hi Gugu,

Unfortunately the lenders on the page above only offer loans in Australian dollars and can only consider you’re currently residing in Australia.

I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance,

      Hi Joseph,

You aren’t required to provide a driver’s licence number at the initial application stage but if Ferratum has trouble identifying you a member of their team may contact you to provide them with some ID. During the application you should supply as much detail as possible to help them identify you. If you’re unsure about your eligibility you may need to contact them directly.

      I hope this helps,

Need a loan. But no income verification (paystub) but i am working? How do i apply

    • Staff
      Matt | June 2, 2016

      Hi Marife,

Thanks for your comment. Most lenders will need some form of income verification to know you can service the debt.

Perhaps consider speaking to your employer to get payslips and/or direct deposit pay.

If you can’t verify your income, you may be able to visit an in-store lender in person.

      Hop this has helped!

If you’re over the age of 18 and can afford the loan you’re applying for you can apply with Ferratum – just click “Go to Site” to submit your application. Take a look at all the fees and features above to ensure you’re familiar with the terms of the loan before applying.

      Hope this helps,

Hey I’m on centrelink. Account currently in negative. Would i still be eligible?

    • Staff
      Elizabeth | May 2, 2016

      Hi Tay,

Ferratum will consider you for a loan as long as more than 50% of your total income isn’t from Centrelink or 20% of your loan repayments won’t come from Centrelink. However, three months of your bank statements will need to be checked by Ferratum when you apply, and the fact your account is in the negative may affect your application. You may want to check with Ferratum directly before submitting your application.

      Hope this helped,

I’m from US not an Australian but I’m approved how do I continue with the loan it stops at post code??

      Elizabeth | June 6, 2016

      Hi Jay,

You can’t apply for a payday loan with Ferratum if you aren’t currently residing in Australia and are an Australian citizen or permanent resident. If you’d like to apply for a US payday loan you can compare your options here.

      I hope this helps,

      Anndy | April 25, 2016

      Hi Elizabeth,

      Thanks for your question.

Ferratum is just one of the companies that will consider you for a loan if you are currently unemployed. The lenders on this page also offer loans for the unemployed. Please note that other eligibility criteria will need to be met.

      I hope this helps.

I’m in the process or thinking about applying for a credit card, does applying for a quicker loan with you affect a possible credit card application

    • Staff
      Elizabeth | April 20, 2016

      Hi Gards,

      Thanks for your question.

When you apply for a credit card the lender will assess your entire financial circumstances, including any recent credit applications you’ve made or forms of credit you’ve held, so it will form part of their decision. However, if it shouldn’t negatively impact their decision unless you default on the loan or fail to make any repayments on time. You can find out more information on this page.

      Hope this has helped,

i am currently employed, but i receive cash in hand payments. will this be a problem if i apply?

    • Staff
      Elizabeth | March 30, 2016

      Hi Chichi,

Unfortunately it will. Ferratum uses information from your bank account to verify you for a loan, so unless you are receiving regular payments into your account, it is unlikely you will be eligible. You may want to consider a lender with a physical branch or that lets you use your payslips to verify your loan. You can find out some of your other options on this page.
