Paramount Plus profiles are finally live in Australia

No more combined watchlists as users can now have their own profile.
Streaming service Paramount Plus has gone live with profiles in Australia. The feature has been available for a while overseas but was yet to appear on the Australian service until now. This comes nearly a year after the service launched in Australia.
Users have long requested it as it's a common feature of other streaming services such as Disney Plus, BINGE, Stan, Prime Video and Netflix. Previously, the only way around having something similar to profiles for Paramount Plus was if you subscribed to the service via Apple TV or Prime Video channels. Each individual user on those services would have their own content featured, such as the up next section of Apple TV.
Now, individual users can access their own preferred content and recommendations instead of everything combined under 1 profile.
How do I set up Paramount Plus profiles?
If you're an existing subscriber, hover over your avatar or name in the top right corner of any page on Paramount Plus's website. From there, you can click "Add profile". For new users, during sign up you'll be directed to edit your profile, which is automatically created in the name you used to sign up. You can also edit profiles at any time through the "Who's Watching" page by selecting "Edit Profiles".
How many Paramount Plus profiles can I create?
You can create up to 6 profiles. Each profile will have separate "Keep Watching" and "Recommended" lists that reflect that profile's viewing history. It's perfect for when the kids watch Paramount Plus and your recommendations are littered with SpongeBob SquarePants or lots of football matches show up after fans of the A-League binge the service.
What devices can use Paramount Plus profiles?
All Paramount Plus supported devices have profiles available. At the moment, these devices are the following:
- Desktop (web)
- iOS app (phone and tablet): iOS 12.2+
- Apple TV 4 (tvOS) and 5 (4K)
- Android app (phone and tablet)
- Compatible Android TV devices
- Amazon FireTV stick
- Chromecast
- Fetch
- Telstra TV
- Samsung TV (2017 or newer)
Are there kids profiles available?
Yes. You can set a user profile to Kids mode. Parental Controls are automatically turned on when you first create a Kids profile and you'll be prompted to enter a PIN for the Kids profile, which will be the same as your parental control pin.
The primary account holder can manage the parental control settings via their account page at any time. You can also set the classification range for kids content. You can set a Kids profile to access only G-rated material or both G and PG.
How do I sign up for Paramount Plus?
New users can sign up to Paramount Plus and get a 7-day free trial here. After that, subscriptions cost $8.99 a month.
