OZSALE DELIVERY LEAD

Joining the ranks of Afterpay and Amazon Prime and Shipster, Ozsale has launched Ourpay and Ourpay Select.

Slipping under the radar, Ozsale's brand new subscription delivery service, Ourpay Select, has been slowly gathering momentum since its launch last week.

With upwards of 1,000 subscribers so far, the initiative aims to provide an alternative to Amazon's service once the shopping giant launches in Australia. There are three package options, where customers can choose between subscribing to four, seven or ten 'free' deliveries.

Having already introduced an Afterpay-style pay-later service to over 50,000 customers, Ozsale has been planning the move to the subscription delivery arena for a while.

Carl Jackson, the CEO of Ozsale's parent company MySale Group, told Internet Retailing that the company had been looking at expanding their technology division in order to stay competitive with other delivery and pay-later schemes on the market.

"The decision to scale the team gave us the opportunity to start to plan other projects and bigger projects. We’ve always taken the view that if it’s customer facing, we’d much rather develop it ourselves and have control over the customer experience and retain that knowledge,” he said.

This comes on the heels of the announcement that Amazon would be soon arriving in Australia - a move that has many online retailers building up their technology, following and brand awareness in order to remain competitive. Just this month, Australia Post announced the launch of a new shipping subscription service called Shipster, seemingly a way many retailers plan on arming themselves against the looming threat of Amazon.

At the moment, Ozsale's Ourpay program is available in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK, while Ourpay Select is currently only available in Australia.
