Where you can buy the new Ouai pet shampoo
Give your pooch the Kardashian treatment with the dog hair care line from Ouai.
Ouai is one of those super popular hair care brands that people are willing to splurge on. If you were trying to predict what boujee product Jen Atkin would launch for her hair care line Ouai, we bet you didn't guess this. The well-loved brand will be launching a new product and it's not even for humans. In fact, it's for man's best friend.
Yep, Jen Atkin has decided that Ouai's next product will indeed be a dog shampoo. The product itself will be called "Pet Shampoo" but we're going to go ahead and assume it's predominantly for dogs. It's 2018 people. If we want high-end dog shampoo, we're going to get high-end dog shampoo.
In a press release for the new product, the shampoo is apparently "formulated with odor-fighting cleansers" meaning your furry friend won't be stinking up the place. Plus, with ingredients like apple cider vinegar, aloe and hibiscus extract, your pet's coat will be "shiny and less knotty" than ever before.
Similar to the human range of hair care from Ouai, this product will be free of sulfates, parabens and phthalates so there are no nasties. It will reportedly also have one of the signature scents from the brand described as a "sheer and airy floral musk" so you and your dog can smell like twins. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing but hey, it's still cool.
The shampoo is set to launch some time mid-July and will cost US$28. Yes, it's not the cheapest shampoo but you can literally tell people that your dog uses the same brand as the Kardashians and that's a total selling point.
If that's not enough to convince you to splurge then know that 15% of the proceeds will actually be donated to the Vanderpump Dog Foundation. It's a charity for, you guessed it, dogs, and aims to encourage dog rescue, adoption and education domestically and globally.
