Optus' My Prepaid Daily plans offer unlimited calls for two bucks a day.

Like the My Prepaid Daily plans, the Daily Plus plans revolve around a simple $2-per-day-of-usage model. Use the selector below to find out more about each plan.

    Additional plan information
    • Pay-as-you-go up to 5 days
    • $2/day of use, 186 day credit expiry
    • Data quota is provided per day of usage
    • Data free music streaming for Google Play Music, Guvera, iHeart Radio, Pandora and Spotify
  • Roaming charges
  • International call rates

  • Credit is only used up when you use the phone. If you don't make outgoing calls, texts or use data, you don't get charged at all.
  • Unlimited calls and texts. If you know you're going to have a single day where you need to make lots of calls, this could be very good value indeed.
  • Can't overspend: Like any prepaid plan, you can only spend what you've already handed over on a prepaid basis.

  • Could be more expensive over the longer term: Over a month the Daily Plus plan would cost you $60. For $60 whether on prepaid or contract you could get better plan inclusions than you'd get here.

Who this plan would suit

The $2 Daily Plus has an interesting value proposition, because on the surface it's quite cheap especially if you want unlimited calls, but it's worth doing your sums to work out if a more standard plan would be better value if you need frequent access. If you don't, but sometimes need lots of calls and texts on single days, it could be ideal.
