Oppo’s R15 Pro will come with a Bali holiday
Oppo's promotion for its soon-to-be-available R15 Pro includes a luxury trip to Bali for a limited lucky few.
We've seen various pre-order benefits over the years to entice consumers into buying a particular handset, ranging from free headphones, chargers and even TVs. It can be tough to stand out, but you can't say that Oppo isn't giving it a red hot go with its new Oppo R15 Pro.
On a standalone basis, the new Oppo R15 will cost $659 outright, while the R15 Pro will retail for $779. However, from 25 June 2018, Oppo will put up a limited set of 50 R15 Pro Travel Bundles through a dedicated site for $1579, a price it says is comparable to other premium flagship phones. So while it's a bundled Bali holiday, it's not exactly a "free" holiday for pre-ordering.
Paying Oppo an extra $800 gets you a gift card for up to $600 worth of flights to Bali. One interesting quirk here is that you can pick your airline of choice, although you'll have to cover any costs above $600 yourself.
You also get three nights of single accommodation at OPPO's Bali Pool Villa, along with a range of luxury extras including a day pass to Mrs Sippy in Bali, a Goldust 24K gold facial or massage and a day pass to Karma Kandara Bali. Accommodation is available for dates between 1 July 2018 - 23 December 2018 and 6 January 2019 - 31 March 2019.
If a Bali holiday isn't your taste, or you're simply not amongst the first 50 to sign up, the Oppo R15 or R15 Pro will go on sale in Australia from 9 July 2018 through The Good Guys, Officeworks, RetraVision, Woolworths Mobile and JB Hi-Fi for outright purchase. If you're particularly keen, JB Hi-Fi will start pre-sales from 2 July 2018.
On the contract front, Oppo has managed to get the widest coverage we've seen out of the company in a long while, especially for the R15 Pro. If you just want the Oppo R15, it will be available from Woolworths Mobile either outright or on a 24-month contract from as little as $51.63 per month.
The Oppo R15 Pro will be available on contract terms from Woolworths Mobile, Optus and Vodafone from 9 July 2018. If you're a Telstra customer, it will be available, but you'll have to wait more than a month, with handsets set to ship out of Telstra from 14 August.
While the Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Pro will be Oppo's newest phones in Australia, they're not actually its current flagship product. That would be the Oppo Find X, which it announced last week, although it's yet to reveal when we'll see its notch-free flagship locally.
We've already gone hands-on with the Oppo R15 at its Shenzhen launch, and we'll be bringing you our full review very soon indeed.
