On-demand caravan marketplace now open in Australia
The sharing economy has reached caravans offering more unique travel experiences.
Australians are travellers by nature, the type of people who love to experience the journey and not just rush to the destination. Lucky for us, the great Aussie road trip is about to get a whole lot easier.
Outdoorsy, an on-demand motorhome and caravan marketplace, has announced its expansion to the Asia-Pacific region after its successful launch in Canada late last year.
The marketplace hosts the largest inventory of bookable caravans and motorhomes worldwide as well as other outdoor gear and accessories to help you on your adventures.
Outdoorsy is now live in both Australia and New Zealand meaning you can both book yourself a caravan and, if you have one sitting idle in the carport, then you can also rent it out to a willing traveller to earn some extra cash.
Jeff Cavins, co-founder and CEO of Outdoorsy said, "With Australia and New Zealand being synonymous with outdoor adventures, road trips and beautiful landscapes, this region is the next natural step in our robust global growth plan as we build the world's third lodging category."
Outdoorsy’s goal of mobilising over 18 million recreational vehicles that sit idle around the globe has seen the company book more than 300,000 travel days over the last year while generating over USD $130 million through the platform.
