Finder Beauty Fave: Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum
A serum that promises brighter, bouncier skin in just seven days?
When the news of the Banana Bright Serum first broke in March, I could not contain my excitement. As an avid Ole Henrisken user, I had already reviewed (and loved) the face primer and the eye cream. So trying out the Banana Bright Vitamin C serum was an absolute no-brainer.
It's designed to target all major signs of ageing, including dullness, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and uneven texture. With that long list of claims, I knew I had to put it to the test and these were my honest thoughts.
The quick verdict
Why is it good? My skin instantly looks fresh, plump and radiant.
How much is it? $96
Where to buy it: Sephora
The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright serum contains an advanced cocktail of 15% vitamin C, 5% PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) and hyaluronic acid. These all work together to improve your skin's elasticity, boost overall radiance and defend your skin against pollution.
Similar to the Banana Bright Eye Creme, the potent serum is infused with banana powder-inspired pigments, bringing instant radiance to the complexion.
After cleansing my skin, I apply two pumps, spreading it evenly across my face and neck. I prefer to use this in the morning, rather than at night. Why? Because the instant glow this gives my skin is way too good to not rock during the day.
The simplest way to explain how my skin looks is healthy. After use, I'm instantly sporting a beautiful glow, and my face looks fresh, plump and radiant. If you suffer from dull and dehydrated skin, this serum will be your new best friend.

Not only do I absolutely love how it makes my skin look, but I love how my skin feels. The serum feels smooth and silky, with no stickiness whatsoever. It's also got a gorgeous orange scent. If you're sensitive to fragrance, this may bother you, but I adore it.
The Banana Bright serum is also vegan and cruelty-free. For more, you can check out our dedicated guide to all things Ole Henriksen.
Affordability
Ole Henriksen's Banana Bright Serum retails at $96 for 30mL. Is it affordable for the average consumer? Certainly not – so I did some digging.
I compared this potent serum to similar ones on the market. It's got 15% vitamin C, and others with the same amount retail for a lesser price. However, Ole Henriksen's version is formulated with a combination of other skin-loving ingredients. Oh, and you're getting 30mL of product.
I'd love to try other vitamin C serums on the market, however, I can definitely see myself repurchasing this in the near future.
