Beauty product of the week: O-Cosmedics Immortal Cream

Boasting professional strength V8 peptides and high doses of Vitamin C, this little tub really might be the secret to goddess-like skin.
Why we love this product
As someone who suffers from extremely dry skin, I have tested more moisturisers than I can accurately count at this point. No matter how many I try though, that Holy Grail-like product has continued to remain elusive. That is, until now.
Similarly dry skinned babes would be familiar with the delicate balancing act of providing thirsty skin with an intense hit of hydration that won't end up breaking it out. Unfortunately, it seems that the more hydrating a moisturising product is, the higher the chance is that your skin will end up a hot mess after several days of use.
Nevertheless, when a tub of O-Cosmedics Immortal Cream landed on my desk, I took one look at the thick formula and had to try it immediately. Am I glad that I did? You bet.
The quick verdict
Why is it good? It leaves skin radiant and deeply hydrated without breaking it out.
How much is it? $104 for a 50g tub.
While I had heard quite a bit about O-Cosmedics, I had never actually tried the product line prior to using the Immortal Cream. What I did know is that the company makes its products from a blend of medical grade and organic, cruelty-free products and uses skin specialists to help customers choose the right products for them. Basically, everything I wanted from a new product range. What I didn't know, is whether the high expectations I had for the product would be met.
When first unscrewing the lid of the Immortal Cream, I was instantly met with a gloriously thick product that made my dehydrated skin cry out with joy. Upon application though, I quickly discovered that the cream is actually quite lightweight. Surprisingly, this did nothing to limit the effectiveness of the cream, which instantly leaves skin feeling intensely hydrated and plumped. The formula also dries quickly without feeling sticky or greasy at any point, which is definitely something that I appreciate.
Waking up the next day I could already see a difference, with the high doses of Vitamin C visibly helping to make my skin appear both brighter and smoother. The best part? My usual flaky skin was noticeably less dry, making my foundation application easier and free from any dry patch clinging.
Given the thick nature of the product, I had originally intended on using it as a night cream as I thought it might be too heavy to sit under my makeup. I decided to give it a go though and was immediately impressed with the results. Not only did it make my foundation more flawless, but it also didn't cause it to slide off halfway through the day or make my skin break out from layering heavy products.
In terms of application, the Immortal Cream is relatively simple to use, with a little bit going quite a long way. The container itself is a little bit confusing though, with a pump application hidden underneath the top tier of the lid. In fact, it took me a long time to even realise that it was there at all, as the option to unscrew the whole lid and scoop the product out is also a possibility. Overall, I would personally prefer the product to come in a standard pump bottle format, but it's not a huge deal.
Overall, the Immortal Cream is possibly my favourite product that I have tried all year (and we try a LOT of products here in the Finder office). Would I buy it again? Absolutely. I'm already on my second tub and will definitely be going for round three once it's finished.

The price is the only thing that I didn't love about the Immortal Cream, with the 50g tub retailing for $104. While it's definitely not at the cheaper end of the skincare spectrum, it has been such a game-changer for my skin that it is one of the few products that I will willingly splash out on. A little also goes a long way, meaning that you really are getting your money's worth anyway.
