For just under $40, you can treat yourself to a new cleansing balm that makes the perfect addition to your self-care routine.

I've been on the hunt for my favourite cleansing balm for some time now. I've tried and loved the Papaya Cleansing Balm from Glow Recipe, but it was a little pricey so I've been searching for something mid-range.

That's where NUDESKIN steps in – a brand new skincare brand from the likes of NUDESTIX. I was given the opportunity to try the range, and here's why I love the Citrus Clean Balm & Makeup Melt.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? This cleansing balm is the perfect addition to your self-care routine.

How much is it? $36 for 60mL.

Where to buy it: NUDESTIX online.

NUDESKIN's Citrus Clean Balm is designed to act as a four-in-one product. It promises to eliminate all traces of makeup and cleanse the skin, all while brightening and softening the skin.

It's formulated with olive oil to gently melt away all traces of makeup and dirt. A number of pore-cleansing oils have been used to deep clean the skin – ingredients like orange peel oil, rosemary leaf oil and eucalyptus leaf oil.

In order to soften the skin, NUDESKIN has used ingredients like lavender oil and neroli oil, harnessing the power of aromatherapy. You can also find apple fruit extracts, a powerful antioxidant that contains natural AHA's to gently brighten the skin.

The Citrus Clean Balm is completely vegan and cruelty-free, and is also free from sulphates, phthalates, gluten and parabens.

Verdict

I don't usually like essential oils in my skincare products, but this is a cleansing balm, so it washes straight off and shouldn't really have enough time to irritate your skin.

Including all these different oils really helps the product experience feel like the ultimate self-care routine. This product has made me love taking my makeup off as the experience is so enjoyable.

The Citrus Clean Balm is incredibly easy to use. As the name suggests, it effortlessly melts away all traces of makeup. It's recommended to rinse well afterwards. I find warm water works best as the natural essential oils can be irritating to some.

Just like with any other cleansing balm, I follow up with my usual foaming cleanser to ensure my skin is fully cleansed.

Apart from the incredible formulation, one of my favourite things about this product is the packaging.

It's an easy-to-squeeze tube, meaning it's super travel-friendly and doesn't get messy (as opposed to other cleansing balms that come in an open jar). It also happens to be biodegradable and recyclable, which is a big tick in my books!

Affordability

The NUDESKIN Citrus Clean Balm retails at $36 for 60mL, which in my opinion, is a good mid-range price.

Do I think it's worth the cash? Definitely, and I can confidently say I will be purchasing this once I finish the tube.

Where to buy

NUDESKIN is yet to reach stockists like Sephora, so at this stage, you can only purchase this product (and the rest of the range) directly from NUDESTIX online.
