The surprise packets of 2020 have become the hunted. The Panthers were 80 minutes away from claiming the ultimate prize but fell to the clinical and ruthless Melbourne Storm in last year's grand final. Can they go one better? It will be tough as every side will now be on high alert against the Panthers but they have the class and composure to bounce back.
Nathan Cleary has developed into the premier halfback of the competition and his fellow band of Panthers cubs are a year older and wiser. Penrith have lost a wealth of experience, with Josh Mansour, Dean Whare, Zane Tetevano and James Tamou leaving the foot of the mountains.
But they have re-signed young guns such as Charlie Staines, Jarome Luai and Stephen Crichton to ensure the future of the club looks bright. Most bookies have them right among the premiership favourites just behind South Sydney. Expect them to again make the top four.
If you want to see how Penrith perform all season long, you will need to sign up to Foxtel or Kayo Sports. The Panthers have 11 matches on Fox League and 13 on Channel 9 in 2021.
In terms of subscription options, Kayo is the cheapest available at $25 a month for a Basic subscription. That gives you access to two devices. For $35 a month you get a third screen.
Kayo also has a wide array of features such as SplitView, Interactive Stats, Kayo Minis and No Spoilers. You can check out our Kayo vs Foxtel guide to see how they compare. Kayo also has a 14-day free trial for you to give it all a test run. In total it offers more than 50 sports for you to choose from.

Penrith and the rest of the competition's 2021 NRL fixtures are here.
After admission to the NSWRL premiership in 1967, the club struggled on-field until reaching the finals for the first time in the 1980s, then reaching the grand final in the 1990s. The Panthers were a part of 1997's Super League competition before continuing in the reunified NRL competition.
They have won two premierships, in 1991 and 2003. Last year they won a club-record 17 games straight in their surge to the grand final, where they lost to Melbourne Storm.
