The Nokia 9 Pureview hits Aussie shores this week
$1,099 will score you Nokia's very camera-centric Nokia 9 Pureview handset.
Having announced the Nokia 9 Pureview at Mobile World Congress this year, we've been keenly waiting for HMD Global, the folks behind the Nokia brand for mobile devices, to reveal Australian launch plans.
HMD Global has just announced that the Nokia 9 Pureview will go on sale from 9 May 2019 for direct sales only through Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi with a $1,099 price point. Nokia is only making the Nokia 9 Pureview in a single Midnight Blue colour, so at least your choices there are easy enough.
Other than the camera, it's an Android 9 phone on the Android One platform, which means guaranteed upgrades to at least Android Q and R when they become available. While it's Nokia's newest flagship phone, it's running on the Snapdragon 845 processor, very much last year's premium choice for Android devices.
The Nokia 9 Pureview's big selling point is that it features 5 rear cameras, all of which typically fire on every single photo you take, before being stitched together by the phone into (hopefully) crisp images.
We've already had the chance to go hands-on with an early sample of the Nokia 9 Pureview at MWC, which you can read here.
We've got an Australian review sample with the latest software in our test labs right now, so stay tuned for our comprehensive review.
