If you liked Stan’s original comedy series No Activity, you’ll enjoy the US version as well.

No Activity US, based on the Stan original series with the same name, was created for CBS All Access, a streaming platform in the United States. It’s produced by Will Ferrell and stars Patrick Brammall, Tim Meadows, Amy Sedaris, and Sunita Mani.

Set during a major drug bust, the show’s plot closely resembles its source material. No Activity US is built on multiple pairings of two people talking. The police are stuck in an extended waiting game with a drug cartel, hence nothing major happens (there is literally no activity). Two cops sit in a cruiser, keeping an eye on the cartel’s hideout. All they can do is talk to each other to pass the time. The same goes for the dispatchers back at the station, but also for the criminals stuck inside the hideout.

Needless to say, the show relies heavily on funny banter between its multiple pairings to keep the audience entertained. Often to hilarious results.
