Because sport is for everyone, Nike is here to support that and we couldn't be more proud.

Earlier this year Nike announced it was going to be releasing their Pro Hijab. Since then, the team behind the company have worked diligently on the design, material and sizing of the product.

It's a very evident statement from the huge sportswear company on where they stand on the conversation surrounding Muslim women and hijabs. Their campaign features three different athlete women: fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, boxer Zeina Nassar, and figure skater Zahra Lari all sporting the new product. Muhammad openly praised the Nike Pro Hijab stating how much better it was to her normal one that, when wet, would get "really heavy and stiff. It would completely obstruct my hearing."

The new product is "made with sweat-wicking, fully opaque mesh to help keep your head and neck dry, comfortable and covered during training or competition." So Nike has 100% got all your needs covered.

The Instagram post racked up a whopping 1.8 million views as well as 279K likes showing that consumers are definitely supporting Nike's decision and move towards equality for all cultures. In fact, Nike made sure multiple Muslim women were involved in the design process and they actually chose the colours of "black and college navy, which were similarly based upon the consulting athletes’ desire for dark neutrals."

The Hijab became available for purchase on Nike's website on the 6th of December and luckily enough they're still in stock. While they are not available in stores as of yet we're sure Nike will be making these as available and attainable for consumers as possible.
