Why you’re going to want Nike’s new Air Max 97 colourways
Upgrade your sneaker collection with one of these three new styles.
Nike has been giving us plenty of new designs to add to our sneaker rotation lately, having just dropped both the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0s and the ghoulish Black Skeleton kicks. If your style is a little more old-school though, the brand has also now released three new colourways of the classic Air Max 97 silhouette for you to shop.
The three latest designs have already arrived on the US Nike site, meaning that we should see them arrive on Aussie shores in the coming weeks. When they do land, we're guessing they'll be available first from the Australian Nike online store, before dropping into usual Nike stockists like JD Sports, Platypus Shoes and Hype DC.
Arriving in Ocean Cube/Mineral Teal, Pure Platinum/Aurora and Summit White/Barely Volt, the kicks keep their usual comfortable style, with a full-length Air Max unit providing some serious cushioning. Each pair also keeps the Air Max 97's usual reflective pipe detailing and water-ripple design, as well as the innovative lacing system that offers wearers a custom fit.
Adding to your comfort, the Air Max 97 models also feature a low-cut collar to shield the ankle and a rubber outsole with a modified waffle pattern.

In other Nike news, the brand has just announced four new styles of the Air Force 1 GORE-TEX model. Arriving on 1 November (US), the classic basketball silhouettes take on shades of beige, olive green, midnight black and lemon yellow.
In usual GORE-TEX style, each pair also has plenty of features to help protect your feet from the winter elements, such as densely woven fabric toeboxes and a GORE-TEX membrane which stops water molecules passing through.
