When you can shop Nike’s metallic Air Force 1 sneakers
Make a statement with these three standout sneaker iterations.
Nike has been delivering drop after drop of its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker recently, much to the delight of sneakerheads everywhere. From the sellout Air Force 1 Shadows to a special Halloween edition titled Black Skeleton, we've seen plenty of collections that we need to make room in our wardrobes for, and the new Metallic line is no exception.
Release date: 11 November (US)
Where to buy: Nike online store
With the Metallic collection arriving in US stores from today (11 November), we can expect them to land on the Australian Nike site in the coming weeks. Once they're available for purchase, we should also see them pop up in usual Nike stockists such as JD Sports and Platypus Shoes.
The Metallic line sees three iterations of the Air Force 1 silhouette reimagined in an all-over reflective design. The shiny kicks come in yellow gold, rose gold and silver colourways, with each pair also sporting matching tonal laces and collars. The iconic Swoosh comes in a stitched design on the lateral in the same hue as the upper, while a crisp white midsole stands to make the designs pop.
Each style will keep the usual breathable hole design on the toe box along with the foam sole with built-in Nike Air cushioning system for added comfort. A retail price is not yet known.
Another addition to the pack is the one sporting metallic polka dots and stars. The kicks arrive with a white toe box and metallic side panelling and on the heel. Some contrast is added with the red heel tab, giving the sneakers an unexpected holiday theme. We love the red detailing across the midsole, as well as the unique glitter laces.

In other Nike news, the brand has just released two new colourways of its Air Force 1 High Utility silhouette. Arriving in both a colour-blocked Bold Multicolour design and a two-toned Echo Pink iteration, the sneakers have already dropped in China and should be hitting Australian shores soon.
Nike has also just released four new styles of the Air Force 1 GORE-TEX model. The classic basketball sneakers take on four shades of olive green, beige, midnight black and lemon yellow, all of which are now available for purchase from the Nike site.
