Find out when and where you can get your hands on the new Nike LeBron 17 – a seriously cool statement sneaker.

Have you been waiting and waiting to find out about Nike's Lebron 17 sneakers? Good news, the wait is officially over. This particular pair of kicks has been gradually revealed for some time over on Instagram. But they were all just teasers, now we have the full picture.

Release date: 27 September

Where to shop: Nike

Nike's designer Jason Petrie said: "We had 'the blueprint' in mind for the 17, and we started from the ground up on everything, whether that was the construction of the knit or the way we could protect him underfoot with Air bags. The silhouette was a way to reset the mark for LeBron, and futuristically explore how we could help his game with the best that Nike offers."

Why is it so special? It has the largest Air Max heel unit in a LeBron yet. It provides total shock absorption. It has a soft foam pad directly under the Air Max unit which of course, adds even more cushioning. Air Zoom and Max Air have been combined for ultimate cushioning, perfect for athletes.

The LeBron 17 features two independent Air Zoom Pods on the forefoot, as well as a knit upper that combines Flyknit and heat-molded yarns. This provides durable support while resisting the amount of stretch, plus an extra touch of colour. The standard LeBron detailing covers the tongue of the sneaker, and it includes phrases such as "I'm King", "LJ" and "23".
