Nike GORE-TEX new Air Force 1 collection: Release date
See all the new colourways of the winter element-ready sneakers and find out when you can shop the line.
Having already given us a glimpse at an Air Force 1 GORE-TEX line earlier this month, the Nike brand has now released the first images of four new colourways. The new styles will once again take on GORE-TEX's winter element protection expertise, making them perfect for those who aren't about to let Mother Nature ruin their style.
Release date: 1 November 2019 (US)
Price: US$150
Where to buy: Unknown, but most likely on the Nike Australia site
While stockist information is yet to be announced, we expect to see the latest designs land on the Nike site when they do drop. There's also a chance that they will become available at other usual Nike stockists such as JD Sports, so be sure to keep an eye out come early November.
The new styles see the classic basketball silhouette upgraded in four sleek new hues of midnight black, olive green, beige and a bright lemon yellow. The kicks also see upgraded exteriors in the form of a GORE-TEX membrane which stops water molecules passing through, while still allowing sweat vapour to escape.
The usual perforated leather toeboxes have been replaced with densely woven fabric to make the sneakers even less susceptible to water passing through. Final changes to the original model include a gusseted tongue and a thin GORE-TEX membrane layer underneath the lining material throughout the sneakers.
In other Nike news, the brand has just dropped its highly-anticipated Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0 sneaker. Unfortunately, the kicks have already sold out on the Nike online store, but you can still pick yourself up a pair from the KicksOnFire site. Be warned that prices range from $300-$500+, so you might want to double check your savings account before committing to buying a pair.
